Help with capture cards, app windows, microphones, recordings, macOS permissions, and Twitch streams.
Start here
Work through the section that matches what you see. Restart Virelo after changing any macOS permission.
Connect a camera or capture card before opening the source menu, then choose it again. For an app window, make sure Virelo has Screen & System Audio Recording access in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Choose the intended microphone in Virelo and confirm macOS has granted Microphone access. Check that the input is connected and visible to macOS before reopening Virelo.
Confirm a source appears in Preview and choose a writable save location when prompted. If a recording cannot finish, wait a moment and try again with available disk space.
Virelo asks where to save each movie before recording begins. The completed recording remains in that location; Virelo does not move it to a private library.
Check the network connection and enter a current Twitch stream key. Never include your stream key in a support email or screenshot.
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and review Camera, Microphone, and Screen & System Audio Recording. Enable the access needed for your selected sources, then quit and reopen Virelo.
Still quiet?
Email the Virelo version, macOS version, the source you selected, what you expected, and what happened. Screenshots help. Do not send passwords or Twitch stream keys.
