What this policy covers
This policy covers the Murmlet iPhone game, its Apple Watch companion, and its Live Activity. Murmlet has no account, login, advertising, analytics, tracking, or developer-operated server. Built by Magnus does not collect data from the app.
Information kept on your devices
Game progress, creature state, settings, and unlocked features are stored locally with Apple’s on-device storage. The iPhone app and Live Activity share the state needed to show Murmlet. The Watch companion exchanges game state with the paired iPhone. This information is not sent to Built by Magnus.
Optional Motion & Fitness access
If you allow Motion & Fitness access, Murmlet reads today’s step count on the iPhone to award bonus Food and Activity Tokens. The permission is optional. Step data is not transmitted to Built by Magnus, and Murmlet does not request or use your location.
Live Activity and Apple Watch
The Live Activity uses local game state to place Murmlet in supported iPhone system areas. The Watch companion uses Apple’s device-to-device connection to stay in step with the paired iPhone. Neither feature relies on a Murmlet account or Built by Magnus server.
Optional purchases
Murmlet offers three permanent, non-consumable purchases: Second Flowerbed, Starlight Decor Pack, and Nightwing Conservatory. Apple processes purchases and restores. Murmlet uses the verified purchase state to unlock those features; Built by Magnus does not receive your payment-card details.
Your control
You can use Murmlet without Motion & Fitness access and can change that permission in iPhone Settings. Because Built by Magnus does not collect app data or operate Murmlet accounts, there is no server-side profile to access or delete. Device data and backups remain under Apple’s device and backup controls.
Changes to this policy
If Murmlet’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before those changes are released.
